And we're back!

Goodness, that felt like a long time away, didn't it? But we're back and so excited to be together again at Downsview Methodist Church Hall - plus we're ready for new members too!

Meet us on Tuesday evenings

We usually meet every Tuesday at 8pm at Downsview Methodist Church Hall. We produce two plays per year with a pantomime every other Christmas (next one TBC). You can get involved at any point of the year and we're especially on the look out for extra pairs of hands:

  • Act

  • Prompt

  • Build and decorate sets

  • Help with props and costumes

  • Help with lighting and sound

  • Support the front of house team on performance nights

  • Help promote our productions

  • Make tea and eat cake

Just drop in for a cuppa

If you're not sure what you'd like to do, drop us a line and we can have a natter. Maybe you would like to act but it's been a while, or maybe you are quite handy with a paintbrush and want to share that skill with the world - either way, we are the place for you.

What are we up to?

Here's our general annual plan for:

  • Every Tuesday (8pm) meeting at Downsview Methodist Church Hall (breaks for main holidays)

  • Spring production (usually mid-May)

  • Autumn production (usually late October/November)

  • Every other year: pantomime (next one TBC due to COVID)

  • January - annual general meeting (and membership renewal)

Membership

Our annual subscription is £30 per year (due at the end of January). You don't have to be a member to audition, but you do need to join if you take a part or commit to help with one of our productions (on stage or backstage).

New members get one month free!

If you join us part-way through the year, you don't need to pay membership immediately. We offer one month free to new members and then, if you choose to join, we will work out the remaining membership cost for the year (pro-rata at £2.50 per month).

What do I get for membership?

Our modest membership fee allows you to attend our regular Tuesday meetings, take part in plays (either on stage or backstage) and join in with the many roles and activities on offer with the group. We socialise regularly and are always looking to develop our organisation too with new ideas. Our team is a friendly and welcoming bunch and travels from all over Croydon and south London.

If you have any further queries about membership, please click on the link below to send us a message. We look forward to meeting you soon!
